Director of Photography

Dean has previously worked as part of the camera department on multiple short films in DKIT and the Dublin Area. He fell in love wth the process of filmmaking almost immediately when he had his first on set experience. He loves the process of creating imagery and story out of what once was a script. His passion for for storytelling and creative camerawork really come to life in “Ma’s Ashes”.

Rachel is a DkIT student studying Film and Television Production. After watching her older sister enter a career in the television industry she was inspired to study in the field.  As a child Rachel was always entertaining and performing songs and short stories for her family and friends and they all knew that one day she would be working within the creative field.  In the future she hopes to explore all aspects of the film industry and hopefully find a career in the television industry.

Vanessa grew her creative spark from a very young age through attending multiple dance schools alongside with drama and singing. Her introduction for creative production stemmed from performing in a variety of Dance shows. She owes this creative start to leading her to peruse a degree in DKIT film and television production. Here she grew a major love for producing and has produced two short films since beginning the course. After filming MA's ashes her interest in producing has enhanced even further and she hopes to continue her passion in producing in the future.

David Greene is a waterford based Actor, trained in the Gaiety School of Acting. He has taken part in multiple productions by Run Rabbit theatre. He had been cast as the lead role in "Homecoming" by Sinead O'Loughlin. He has most recently played the role of "Baxter" in squad theatre's production of Marina Carr's "Low in the Dark".

Rebecca is currently a DkIT Film and Television Production student. Having taken an interest in storytelling early in life, she never knew what avenue she wanted to take in creative writing until her late teens when she decided she wanted to be a filmmaker. An avid lover of cinema and television, she realised writing and directing film was her goal. She has always had a connection to writing drama and hopes to find her dream career in writing and directing drama features.

Having previously acted in his youth, Killian Ginnity made the change to behind the camera when he enrolled in Dundalk IT’s Film and Television Production degree. He has ambitions to work as a director or cinematographer in the film industry when he finishes his education.

Megan comes from an artistic theatre family and started her film career devising and acting in short films directed by Irish directors Darren and Colin Thorton. She quickly became interested in all elements of film. Coming from the acting community benefits her when hiring actors as a 2nd AD and her artistic roots aids her in a creating different sets and dressing for art department. Megan has gone on to work as a crew member on IFB's Feature Film Kissing Candice

John Clarke is a young aspiring filmmaker, currently studying Film and Television Production at Dundalk Institute of Technology (DKIT).  A lifetime film fan, John was inspired to study film after attending a short film exhibition hosted by students of DKIT.

Since his time in the college, John has directed a short film “Searching Beneath the Soil”, which was accepted into the 7th Underground Film Festival. John also spent some time last summer studying in Slovenia in order to further his craft

Ruth Boylan is a third year Film Student in Dundalk Institute of Technology. From an early age she has always been artistic and had a creative mind. She joined her local drama school for many years, taking part in plays and musicals and has always been interested in the film industry. She hopes to pursue acting in the future.

From an early age, Kyle’s creativity came in the form of self-expression through art. During his time in secondary school he expanded on this in the form of creative writing. In doing so, he found his true passion and pursued a degree in Film and Television in DkIT to learn screenwriting. Here, Kyle’s writing ability was enhanced and he has wrote various short films throughout his time here. He aspires to develop his own TV series in the future and write for various creative media outlets including films, music videos and games.
